MORE ABOUT THE BEAUTIFUL BE-ING PROGRAM:
The BEAUTIFUL BEing Program is a process-focused writing + art experience, dedicated to personal expression and personal growth. The purpose of the program is to guide you along your life's journey in a way that deepens your understanding of who you are, why you're here, and what you're meant to do with your "one wild and precious life."
By registering and participating in the Beautiful BEing program you will receive the following:
- a soul nurturing experience
- the opportunity to be in creative flow both in writing and through painting
- the chance to unearth your own inner wisdom
- an increase in self-esteem and improved confidence
- the opportunity to get to know the true, beautiful BEing that is inside you
- the time and space to slow down
- an understanding of the natural rhythm of creative cycles (winter is perfect for introspection!)
- experience love and compassion, for yourself and others
- skills to help you move through the fear that often comes up around creativity
REGISTRATION OPTIONS:
There are multiple registration options that offer the flexibility you need to participate in one or all of the monthly sessions. You can sign up for one Saturday or even part of a Saturday, but you'll get the best value when you register for all five sessions!
This program works best when both the writing and painting are part of your experience, as both creative modalities tap into different parts of you. It also works best when participants commit to all five sessions, so that a sense of trust and belonging in community can develop.

Q: Where is courageous heARTS?
A: courageous heARTS is located in south Minneapolis, on the corner of 42nd and Cedar Ave. (4164 Cedar Ave., Minneapolis, Minnesota 55407)
Q: Where do I park?
A: There is a lot behind heARTS (off of 42nd) for about six vehicles. Otherwise, there is free street parking.
Q: What about lunch if the program is from 10am-2pm?
A: Please bring a bag lunch. There will be a short break in between the writing and painting sessions. You might also want to bring a bottle of water and a caffeinated beverage of your choice, if you do caffeine.
Q: Is this program religious?
A: No, there is no religious affiliation with the content of this program. There might be terms related to a higher power, but how you name that will be up to you. The mind/body/spirit connection is a scientifically researched concept, which will be mentioned throughout the program.
Q: Is this program "touchy-feely"?
A: Maybe a little. Getting in touch with one's emotions is part of the self-discovery, healing, and transformation process.
Q: Is this therapy or counseling?
A: NO. This is a time for you to do a lot of introspection and self-discovery through process-oriented writing and/or painting, in a safe, supportive environment. There will be some optional opportunities to share your writing and/or painting with the group. The group will be your witness and will not be offering advice or direction.
