I love to give gifts. However, I typically do not enjoy wrapping presents. To make the wrapping part more fun, I like to make my own hand-painted, stamped, and stenciled papers.
Giving gifts with hand-painted gift wrap can have two main reactions:
The recipient discards the paper in the trash with all of the other gift wrap,
OR
The recipient loves, loves, loves the paper so much, they pass it around the room for all to see. They might even keep it and frame it!
(A moment of truth: Sometimes with family, and close friends, I even ask to have the wrapping paper back, if they don't want it. That way, I can re-use the paper in my mixed media art.)
Either reaction is fine with me. I simply enjoy making hand-painted, stamped, and stenciled paper to use as gift wrap!
I think you might enjoy it, too.
Here are a few reasons to make your own gift wrap:
1. It makes the gift more intriguing from the outside.
2. You can think of the person's style and custom create gift wrap they will LOVE!
3. It's fun for you, and it's fun for them!
You're invited to join me in the Make Your Own Gift Wrap Workshop!
No prior art experience is necessary.
All sales are final (aka no refunds or exchanges).
This workshop is intended for adults who would like to play with paint, stamps, and stencils on paper.
Our time together will focus on creating the gift wrap, NOT the actual wrapping of the gifts.
You will leave the workshop with at least one large (18 x 24 inches) and one small (9 x12 inches) piece of gift wrap made by YOU!
You can also use your papers for book making, card making, art journaling, artful planning, or other mixed media projects.
