Magazine Mixed Media Collages

Do you love magazines? For me, there's just something about the sound of the paper, the feel of the paper, the look of the text, and the beautiful photography inside.

What about color? Does that interest you? Are you curious about learning more about lights and darks, pattern and texture, and combining it all into a collage? Oh, and then there's acrylic paint and paint pens to add more layers and marks.

When all is said and done, you'll be amazed at the work of art you have created from these simple supplies.

In Magazine Mixed Media Collages, this is about liberation. I want you to feel that inner creative power that you were born with.

This is play for adults. Just like children, we learn as we play.

You will learn which colors attract your attention most. 

You will learn how to combine light and dark colors to create contrast in a piece of art. 

You will be encouraged to cover up parts of the first layer, to add even more depth and cohesiveness.

You will be inspired to use your own hands to make marks and add details with paint and pens.
