Hello and Welcome to the Artist Trading Cards Workshop Information and Registration Page!
WHAT ARE ARTIST TRADING CARDS?
Artist Trading Cards, also known as ATCs, are miniature works of art. They are of a standard size, which is 2.5 x 3.5 inches (imagine baseball trading cards). Their size is really the only rule to follow. After that, the artist (you) are free to create whatever you like, however you like (in any art medium) on that card.
Artist Trading Cards are meant to be traded, swapped, or given away; they are never sold. (Just FYI-There is another small art card form, which is intended to be sold, called ACEOs - Art Cards, Editions, and Originals.) I thought you might like to know the difference between an ATC and an ACEO. : )
On the back of an ATC, the artist (you) can list things like, your name, date created, title of the card, your email address, mailing address (if desired), website, and other contact information you'd like to share.
WHAT IS THIS "ARTIST TRADING CARD WORKSHOP" ALL ABOUT?
I am glad that you asked.
This Artist Trading Card Workshop is going to be set to the theme of gratitude.
We are all on a journey in this life, and some days are more challenging than others, right? Studies have shown that with an attitude of gratitude, we are much better off. We can count our blessings, and find something, even if it is the fact that we are still breathing, to be grateful for each day.
By creating a set of gratitude ATCs, you will be taken over by positive feelings like love, gratitude, joy, and peace.

Knowing that you will be giving your cards away, to help lift someone else up, when they might be feeling down, is also sure to make you feel good inside. Giving and sharing are acts of kindness, after all.
If you are someone who is tuned into your chakras, imagine that heart chakra bursting wide open through this process of creating and giving gratitude ATCs. I can't wait, can you?
WORKSHOP DETAILS
WHO: This workshop is intended for adults, and/or children who are interested in exploring art, trading art, and wish to enter into a state of gratitude.
Note: Children must be accompanied by an adult. Children in attendance must have a certain level of independence, so the adult can also enjoy this workshop. : )
WHEN: Sunday, July 26th, 2015, 2pm-4pm
WHERE: The Artful Nook, Richfield, MN (exact address will be emailed within 24 hours of registration.)
WHAT: We will each be making a set of gratitude ATCs. Working in a small format allows for more art to be created in a small amount of time. Yay!
Near the end of our session, each person will choose one of their cards to set on the "swap" table. Each person will have a chance to choose one card, created by someone else in the group, to take home.
All materials and supplies are provided for your use during class.
Supplies for use during class: ATC blank cards, paint, stencils, markers, crayons, colored pencils, pens, collage material, ephemera, stamps, etc.
COST: Adults - $35
Children - $15
IMPORTANT: Please make sure your email address associated with PayPal is current, as that is the email address I will be corresponding with you through. If you would like me to use a different email address, please fill in the "INSTRUCTIONS FROM BUYER" or "INSTRUCTIONS TO MERCHANT" section upon registration. Thank You.
If you are registering a child, please include their first name, so that I may create an accurate attendance sheet.
