Create a personal art journal—use a variety of art supplies in a 16 page, 6” x 9” journal—to record your heart’s truth: to reflect your goals, intentions, feelings and dreams.
You will learn a variety of techniques for covering the blank background and setting up the page for recording your thoughts, doodles and ideas. Basic materials will be supplied: collage fodder, magazine pages, scissors, glue, stencils, paint, markers, crayons, and colored pencils. You’ll have fun painting, cutting and pasting, and you’ll go home with a fresh visual journal to explore, guide and inspire your heart in the coming months.
Briana has made me much stronger than I was. I recognize now that the answers to most of my questions and doubts can be found inside myself, that I have good discipline and good ideas. Yes, I get discouraged but that’s part of the process: there are always ups and downs. Thanks to Briana, I have a better foundation to work from, plus a number of techniques and tricks to get myself out of those dark spots. And she did this honestly, intelligently, with a great deal of respect and empathy, and (very important to me) always stressing that /she/ wasn’t the one with the answers, /I/ was. I would certainly recommend working with her.
—Marrije
As a former teacher, I was impressed with Briana’s style in both classroom and online. Her instructions are clear, she answers questions thoughtfully, and her encouragement is respectful and supportive.
