These classes are virtual classes, meaning you can join in from the comfort of your home!
For the month of April, we will focus on a variety of things: ink, watercolor, water-soluble markers, painted papers, and collage.
Each class, I offer guidance and instruction.
I also encourage you, as a participant, to go in your own direction, as you feel inspired to do so.

Inky Spots Accordion Book
We will make a small accordion book out of one-9x12 inch sheet of watercolor paper.
We'll also paint spots on a second 9x12 inch sheet of watercolor paper.
We'll play with our fountain pen inks to create gorgeous spots of color.
Supplies:
- Fountain pen inks
- brush
- eye dropper
- paper towel
- 2-9x12 inch sheets of 140 lb. watercolor paper
- paper slicer
- bone folder
- small alphabet stamps and ink pad (optional)

Watercolor Houses
You'll paint a series of watercolor houses, exploring the wet-on-wet technique.
Every time I paint these houses, they bring so much joy!
You can choose to cut out the little houses to use them in your journals, insert into a pocket, or create a gift tag, etc.

- 9x12 inch watercolor paper (90lb.-140lb.)

Rainbows
Creating rainbows never gets old.
Let's use our water-soluble markers to play with color arrangements, then sweep a wet brush
over the arches to see the colors blend together in all of their gorgeousness.
Supplies:
- Tombow dual-tip brush pens or other water-soluble markers
- Mixed media paper or watercolor paper
- 1/2 inch flat brush
- water jar

Painted and Pattern Papers
Creating your own collage papers is a great way to make your mark in your art, and also it's sooooooo fun!
We'll paint stripes, polka dots, and other patterns to use in our future art projects.
Supplies:
- Acrylic ink and fluid acrylic paints
- copy paper, mixed media paper, deli paper
- plastic paint scraper or Catalyst wedge
- water jar

- fan brush, flat brush, round brushes

Paper Dolls
Paper dolls are so fun to make! Let's play!
From last week's painted and printed papers, to old scrapbook papers, to plain card stock, there are many options to explore.
Cut shapes using stencils, or print on your papers using ArtFoamies. Use old photos of actual people for the heads.
Again, there are so many options, and so much fun to be had!
Supplies:
- painted and printed papers
- scissors
- pencil
- old photos of people (optional), i.e. Tim Holtz Idea-Ology paper dolls
- ArtFoamies stamps, other fun stamps
- paints, colored pencils, markers, permanent black fine liners
- stencils, i.e. Megan Quinlan, paper doll parts, etc.
