For the month of March, we will focus on patterns.
Each class, I offer guidance and instruction.
I also encourage you, as a participant, to go in your own direction, as you feel inspired to do so.

Slow Stitching
We will use fabric and thread to create a slow-stitched piece.
We'll be focusing on the pattern of dashes.
Supplies:
- various cotton fabrics
- Sashiko thread and needle (or thread of your choice)
- glue stick
- scissors

Butterfly Wing
Butterfly wings are absolutely stunning, would you agree?
Use a stamp, stencil, or draw your own butterfly wings.
We'll be focusing on abstract and organic patterns for this session.
Supplies:
- butterfly wing reference image(s)
- butterfly stamps or stencils
- materials to draw, paint, or stamp with
- loose paper or journal to work in
- scissors (optional)

Geometric Circles, Arcs, Squares, Lines, and Triangles
This session will invite you to paint geometric shapes in your watercolor journal, or on loose watercolor paper.
You are welcome to use water-soluble markers, watercolor, gouache, watercolor pencils, etc.
Supplies:
- watercolor, gouache, water-soluble markers and/or pencils
- loose watercolor paper or journal (Leather Village journal is here)
- brushes
- water jar
- paper towel/rag

Pastels, Paint, and Ink-3 Bumps
We will be exploring composition, color, as well as how to use matte medium to set soft pastels.
Supplies:
- 4.25x6 inch watercolor paper (or size of your choice)
- soft pastels
- paint brush
- Liquitex matte medium
- fountain pen with water-soluble ink
- plastic or ceramic palette
- x-acto blade (optional) or sand paper
- water jar
- baby wipes
NOTE: Registration fee is per person, per class
