Good Day to You!
Let's talk about art supplies, shall we?
First off, I'd like to share a photo of one of my zipper pouches. It contains various pens, pencils, and markers that are all great for creating a variety of marks!
What's in the art supply bag?
Setting the glue stick and the pencil sharpener aside, here are the various pencils, pens, and markers inside my bag:
The key is to collect a variety of pens, pencils and markers for your mark making art supply pouch. I have both permanent and water-soluble markers in this bag. The markers are felt tip, some with two different ends-bullet and chisel tip, brush and fine tip, etc. Note: Some of the permanent markers have a strong smell, so if smells bother you, skip the permanent markers.
Collect several different kinds of pencils-mechanical, 2B drawing pencil, a No. 2 pencil, and a Stabilo Marks All pencil. To vary the look of your pencil marks, throw in a blending tortillion, too.
Let's do some Mark Making!
I would like to invite you to keep things simple and fun.
HOW TO:
- Cut several 4x4 cards from watercolor paper or card stock.
- Choose a pen, any pen (or pencil or marker).
- Begin using your tool of choice and play with what type of marks that tool can create.
Suggestions for what to do with your mark making cards:
- Keep them on your inspiration board and incorporate some of the marks in your next art piece
- Glue, tape, or staple the cards into your art journal
- Consider your marks as the first layer, and create further layers using mixed media art supplies

TIPS:
