Welcome to Mark Making Monday! Today's post features some doodling over Suminagashi printed papers created this past weekend at the Suminagashi Workshop in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I printed on a variety of papers, including construction paper, an envelope, an old book page, and children's handwriting paper.
If you love art supplies like I do, you might be interested to know what I used to doodle on the Suminagashi printed papers. So, here you go! : )
First, I used a white Gelly Roll pen by Sakura.
In the doodles below, I used a STAEDTLER Pigment Liner and a mechanical pencil.
On the book page below, I used a combination of a red pigment pen, mechanical pencil, but the pen with the most punch is an IDenti Pen by Sakura. (Note: There is a slight smell to this pen, but it writes on many surfaces, including slick surfaces.)
Finally, on the children's handwriting paper, I used a Tsukineko Memento Dual-Tip Marker in Tuxedo Black for the letters, and a neon pink highlighter.
Doodling is not something I do everyday. However, I do enjoy it. I find doodling relaxing, enjoyable, and an easy art activity that gets me in the present moment.
Happy Creating, and Enjoy your Day!
