Hello All,
How have you been?
I have been taking a lot of pictures lately, and it is about time I share some of them here with you.
If you are here, thank you kindly. I so appreciate your interest in my work, art, life, and blog.
First and foremost, I had an amazing experience as a birth photographer last weekend. I had never seen a human birth before, except in documentaries. I gave birth nearly two years ago, but being present for a laboring mom-to-be is much different.
There were several of us in the room. There was the midwife and the birthing assistant, the doula, the woman in labor, her partner, a dear friend, and me, the birth photographer. All I really want to say about this is that it was an honor and a gift to be there for this couple.
Here are a few photos from last weekend:
The day following this holy experience of being present for the birth of a new baby, I went to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Immersing myself in a beautiful natural setting was the perfect continuation from the previous night.
Here are several nature photos I took at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum:
I simply love taking photos. I have been taking pictures nearly everyday for the past eight years. I use my iphone camera, point and shoot camera, and my DSLR. Whatever I have with me, I will use. It is important to me to document this life, the beauty I see, the people around me, the love I feel, etc., etc. Taking pictures is a big part of this journey for me.
Thanks again for visiting Orange Spiral Arts.
Blessings to You,
Briana
