Hello Dear Reader,
I have a lot of exciting and hopefully inspiring things to share with you today.
First of all, it is fall in Minnesota. The trees are taking my breath away with their beauty.
Also, last Sunday, I went to St. Paul with my sweet neighbor and met Alexandra Franzen!!!! She was in town promoting her new book, 50 Ways to Say You're Awesome. The talk was at Garrison Keillor's book store called Common Good Books. Alexandra brought coffee and cookies, and was a pleasure to be around. She radiates good, positive, and encouraging energy. She led us through some writing exercises and talked about how her book came to be. She hopes that 50 Ways to Say You're Awesome will spread gratitude and joy into the world.
Here are some photos from the book store event:
This is me and my neighbor, Stephanie.
The woman behind me is friends with Alexandra and is of Yes and Yes fame.
The man in the black shirt and the woman next to him are mother and son. They unknowingly wrote gratitude notes to one another and read them aloud. It was adorable! I hope my son and I can have a wonderful relationship all of our lives, too.
Here is children's book author Marianne Richmond talking to Alexandra.
I introduced myself and asked her if she would grace me with a self-portrait of the two of us. She was more than willing to oblige. Seriously, she is a fun and super fantastic woman!
I still have a lot more to share, but I need to go be a good mother now.
I will be back soon.
Many Blessings,
Briana
